Hi Mary Jo;
If you have a prefinished floor, then call the manufacturer and use their product. If it were site finished, Call a reputable floor finisher or supply house and use the product manufacturered for your finish. Dave's site at the top can lead you to his list of products. Always use a product by a floor finish manufacturer, and NEVER USE A PRODUCT THAT ONE BUYS IN A SUPERMARKET. Also NEVER USE HOME REMIDIES. If the proper cleaning maintanence product is used per instructions(Never more product) then call a wood floor finish professional. As Hardwood Guy says you may need to have it professionally screened and coated. (loss of sheen is usually the best indicator of finish needing a recoat) Good luck
